My Resume Rating ("we," "us," or "the Site") is a resume ATS parser and assessor designed to help users evaluate resume-to-job compatibility. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988, the EU & UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and various United States state privacy laws (including the CCPA).

2. Data Processing (The "No-Storage" Guarantee)

Unlike traditional platforms, My Resume Rating does not store, save, or retain any resumes, personal details, or documents submitted for assessment on our servers.

  • Transient Processing: When you upload a resume or paste a job description, the data is processed in real-time memory (RAM) solely to provide the compatibility score and feedback.
  • Immediate Deletion: Once the assessment session is closed or the analysis is complete, the data is wiped from our volatile memory. We do not maintain a database of your personal professional history.

3. Information We May Collect

While we do not store resume data, we collect minimal technical data to ensure the security and functionality of our service:

  • Technical Metadata: IP address, browser type, and operating system (collected for security and rate-limiting purposes).
  • Usage Analytics: Anonymous data regarding how many users visit the site, which helps us improve our parsing engine. This cannot be linked back to an individual resume.
  • Cookies: We use essential cookies to manage your current session. You can disable these in your browser, though it may affect site performance.

4. International Compliance

For EU & UK Users (GDPR): We act as a "Data Processor." Since we do not store data, we fulfill the principle of "Data Minimization." You remain the owner of your data at all times.

For USA Users (CCPA/CPRA): We do not "sell" or "share" your personal information. Our processing is limited to the specific service you have requested (resume assessment).

For Australian Users: We handle all data in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Our Site may contain links to external job boards or career resources. My Resume Rating is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party sites. We encourage you to read their policies before submitting data to them.

We employ industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit. This ensures that the connection between your device and our parsing engine is secure. However, as no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, we cannot guarantee absolute security during the transit phase.
